Introduction to Google Analytics 4 Reporting

I'm an advanced user of Google Analytics (and BigQuery) and I already knew most of the things included in the advanced part, in any case the training was well paced and it gave a general overview of the GA4 platform. I would probably involve more the participants asking to show how they solved the exercises given during the class.

The course was engaging and had a great balance between theory and practical sections, allowing us to put into practice what we'd learned.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why should I learn GA4?

Google Analytics 4 is replacing Google’s Universal Analytics; it’s a critical tool for anyone interested in online data analysis and allows you to make data-driven decisions by providing insights into user behavior on your website or app. GA4 offers significant upgrades in advanced tracking, cross-platform analysis, user privacy, audience building and reporting tools that even experienced Google Analytics users will need to upskill on.

  • What are the main reporting improvements in GA4?

GA4 introduces a number of reporting improvements, underpinned by a more flexible and robust measurement model based on events. These include improved visualizations and report snapshots; deeper audience insights, enhanced predictive modelling capabilities and improved data controls.

  • When should I switch to reporting via GA4?

Ideally, you should already be reporting in GA4. Google switched off data collection within Universal Analytics in July 2023 and will sunset Universal Analytics 360 in July 2024. If you’re new to Google Analytics, then you’ll need to begin with GA4. In this case, you may also want to consider our Google Analytics 4: Implementation & Configuration course.

  • Is the course accredited or certified?

On completion, you will be able to add a LinkedIn certification badge that will verify you have passed the course. Our courses also provide a great stepping stone towards Google Analytics Certification.

  • Can GA4 courses be customized to meet my specific business requirements?

All our Google Analytics courses are available to book privately and can be customized to suit your needs. We recognize that all businesses have different reporting requirements and can tailor your course towards these, taking your team’s experience level into account.

  • Does this course include practical exercises and assignments?

Yes, much of the day will be spent in the Google Analytics platform learning how to measure data and use the various reporting tools available. This will include practical exercises within a demo account to aid learning. You’ll be granted access to this account at the start of the course.
