Google Ads Scripts provides a way to programmatically control your Google Ads data using simple JavaScript.

With the ability to automate tedious tasks, save valuable time and enhance strategy and performance, Google Ads Scripts is an advanced tool at the disposal of every advertiser using Google Ads, but as it requires some JavaScript knowledge, it is often overlooked by many paid search professionals.

On this two-day course, you’ll learn about the JavaScript syntax used in Google Ads Scripts and how to understand the relevant sections on the platform. We’ll show you how to edit and tailor them to your needs, so they are ready for use in your own accounts.

You’ll get hands-on experience with JavaScript; writing sample code and learning about variables, conditional statements, loops, functions and objects. From there you will learn how these JavaScript principles are used in Google Ads Scripts. You’ll explore the Google Ads Scripts object library and find everything you need to edit and create your own scripts, while gaining insight into working with APIs to use data (like the weather) to influence your bidding and more.

This course is aimed at anybody with a working knowledge of Google Ads wanting to understand how Google Ads Scripts can help increase the efficiency of their campaigns in terms of setting up alerts, automating common procedures, retrieving information from external sources, querying report data to gain insights and working with Google Sheets. A fundamental understanding of a C-based language - ideally JavaScript - would be beneficial.
