You’ll learn the fundamentals of video storytelling and be able to shoot and produce moments that tie in with your ongoing marketing channels of choice. By the end of the session, you’ll have gained practical experience using essential equipment and smartphone app technology to improve your creation process.

Our Smartphone Video Creation course is available as a private training session that can be delivered via Virtual Classroom, at our training centre in The Shard, or at a location of your choice in the UK.

Course overview

Who should attend:

This course is designed for business owners, digital marketers and internal comms teams that are looking to implement video into their daily workflow. It's also ideal for individuals who are looking to grow engagement with dynamic and agile video moments.

What you'll learn:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Choose between the different types and styles of videos to shoot
  • Determine what video format suits what social media platform
  • Operate smartphone essential kit, equipment, video recording and editing apps
  • Plan, shoot and edit your own smartphone video
  • Produce your own smartphone video

Prerequisites

Filming and editing apps will need to be downloaded before attending the course. While we’ll endeavour to use free apps where possible, some recommended apps require a subscription charge. You’ll be emailed the full list of apps and course requirements once you’ve enrolled.

This workshop welcomes iOS (iPhone) and Android users. However, it does have a specific bias towards iOS and iPhone users given the compatibility of apps used within the course. The iPhone 6 is required as a minimum, and Android smartphones must be no more than 3 years old.
