Frequently asked questions

  • What SEO tools do you cover in this course?

During the day we’ll discuss a range of tools for Technical SEO. When discussing crawling and indexation, we’ll use Screaming Frog and Google Search Console and it would be useful (though not essential) to have access to these before the course. Other tools we’ll discuss include Chrome Developer Tools, Page Speed Insights and a range of third-party tools for testing mobile optimisation and schema markup.

  • Do I need to understand coding and web development in order to take this course?

A knowledge of web development principles and frameworks is an advantage in SEO but not essential. The aim of this course is to bridge the gap between SEOs, marketers and web developers. We aim to give you the knowledge and understanding of how to identify and prioritise issues rather than fix them, although there will be elements you can also practically apply without developer assistance.

  • How important is technical SEO as part of a broader SEO strategy?

Technical SEO is one of the essential elements of good search performance. This course will give you the foundations to understand where setup, build and configuration of your website are holding back in the eyes of Google and other search engines.

  • Is this course suitable for beginners in SEO?

Most people who complete the Technical SEO course have some foundational knowledge of other SEO principles. This course will not cover content creation and optimisation, or SEO basics such as meta-tags, heading and keyword optimisation. These elements are all covered within our Content Strategy & Copywriting for SEO course.

  • Is there support available after the training?

Yes, we offer post-training support for all of our courses. We recognise that many people will have questions when they begin to implement their learning and develop Technical SEO strategies. Our trainers are always happy to answer follow-up questions related to the course.

  • Is certification offered upon completion?

On completion, you’ll be able to add a LinkedIn certification badge that will verify you have completed the Technical SEO course.
