Whatever your level of experience, we’ll show you how to write with more confidence, how to write more effectively, powerfully, and succinctly whatever your sector or discipline.

Run by Max Vinall, our very own Creative Director and ex-Head of Copy here at Jellyfish, this one-day course is split into two key sections.

In the morning, we’ll look at what good copy does, what it looks like, how to write in the positive, how to begin your articles and make them more compelling, and how to write a terrific headline. We’ll look at emails and how to structure them.

In the afternoon, we’ll look at how we define a brand, what the great ones look like and see why they work so well. Then we’ll create our own brand complete with Mission Statement, Brand Essence, Brand Values, Tone of Voice and Brand Personality. We’ll make our own amazing ad, get the secrets on how to create a truly powerful one and end with a summary of everything we’ve learned in the day. Boom.

On this course, we take a closer look at the job copy and copywriting does and why it matters. We’ll show that powerful content can transform how and what you communicate from ads to email, from social to print (and everywhere in-between).

We’ll try proofreading, how to avoid cliches, study what a Tone of Voice is and why it matters and take the Strapline Pub Quiz. And we’ll see how to use the dreaded apostrophe in the right way. In everything we do, in every challenge and exercise and quiz and question, we'll work together and have a lot of fun doing it.

At the end of the day, you’ll leave feeling fired up and inspired about your writing abilities - and eager to implement them straight away.
