Re-aggregating Auto Aggregate in Google Looker Studio
How to blend data sets in Google Looker Studio as a way around default auto aggregation

Confused by Gen AI strategies? You're not alone. Farhan Qureshi, Gen AI Training Director, shares why AI transformation can stall and how hands-on learning can help your team move forward with confidence.
So here we are in the second half of 2025 - while 2024 was the year of Gen AI hype and excitement, 2025 was touted as the year that Gen AI comes of age and transforms business.
In truth, that transformation is in progress - for some it is happening faster than for others.
But why is that?
In this blog post I am going to talk to you about why for some it is happening and for others it hasn’t started - and most importantly, what you can do about it.
I have trained over a hundred people to use Generative AI as part of their business processes - during that time I have seen patterns emerge from classroom discussions.
A major hurdle that prevents many businesses from moving forward is that teams cannot distinguish between what is good advice and what is bad advice when it comes to applying Gen AI in the workplace.
Ultimately, when someone is confused, they do what all confused people do - don’t move at all.

The logic being that not moving is better than moving in the wrong direction.
That strategy may have held in the past, i.e. those who ‘do not move’ meant risking getting left behind.
Now Gen AI is here in a big way, that ‘risk’ of getting left behind is no longer a ‘risk’ it is a ‘reality’ - by not moving, you don’t ‘risk’ getting left behind, you ‘will be’ left behind.
There are whitepapers aplenty appearing in your various feeds, all promising to give you the ultimate strategy on implementing a Gen AI roadmap for your business.
When these whitepapers contradict each other (which they often do, I have read many of these contradictory papers) - you as a business leader are back to that same problem that following the wrong Gen AI strategy can actually take you in the wrong direction.

I'll save the discussion around why these papers are so often incorrect another time - but far more interesting, and important, than that is what you can do to orient yourself in the right direction. - but far more interesting, and important, than that is what you can do to orient yourself in the right direction.
Where do the best ideas and strategies for Gen AI come from?
Well, it comes from the same place where all your best ideas and strategies come from.
They come from empowering your people - empowering your people to:

I have designed training experiences to follow a proven three step process, which keeps learners fully engaged during the day - in fact, the biggest challenge I have in my courses is finishing on time - the learners just want to keep going.
It is not uncommon for learners to email me after the course, telling me about the results they have achieved by applying the lessons we went through - it’s great to see the methods I use achieving real results for so many learners.
So we have launched a range of new courses for your team - all covering Gen AI.

The opportunities are huge.
The opportunities are now! -
View our range of Generative AI courses and start your team’s journey in the right way - empower them with a tutor who will put them at the centre of the training experience.
Thanks!
